One of my favorite musicians/style icons has to be Mr. Fonzworth Bentley also known as Derek Watkins. I had first noticed him, like many people like me, on Diddy’s “Making the Band”. Back when he was supposedly Diddy’s butler, now Fonzworth is notably one of the most well-known individuals in fashion and music. I think that his style is one that should definitely be featured on the Satorialist, for his distinct attention to detail in every outfit he may or may not pick for himself. It is almost amazing to see what he will come out with next from his closet; for sure, it is effortless for him. Moreover, if you did not notice him at last years’ Fashion Week events, with the likes of Kanye West, Don C, Ibn Jasper, etc. I do not think that you had the appreciation for what he wore during the famous week. He is almost a necessary friend to have and one who would be more than helpful if the question of, “Does this bow tie sit well with this shirt?” or even if you asked, “Does this blazer complement these chinos?” I think he would be an honest, yet firm style guide. To help you navigate through all the right outfits in your closet. It seems that only with his impeccable style out-of-the-way it leaves an open door to his music.

His music, almost if not mirrors his style of dress. He first had his appearance with music on Kanye West’s “Workout Plan” video. Where in the video, he had a little spot in which he show cased his lyrical talents, while at the same time showing his comedic side. I feel more than ever that his album C.O.L.O.U.R.S (CoolOutragesLoversOfUniquelyRawStyle), has established his name as a full-blown musician in today’s ever changing music industry. It is almost his hometown, which you can tell influences you can hear in his music, his hometown being Atlanta, Georgia. Growing up in Atlanta, Georgia Fonzworth’s musical upbringing was much more classical because he learned to play the violin. I think through him, his music has turned into Jazz/Neo-Soul music; just because that is the way, he is. I suggest if you want to know more about the man behind the music and in the clothes, just look him up.

Hey I found this blog through Fonzworth Bentley’s twitter.
I am 99% sure that picture you posted of Bentley with the light grey suit and purple tie IS from The Satorialist [in reference to your suggestion that Bentley should be featured on that site]

Also, have you been able to find a copy of the “F.R.E.E. C.O.L.O.U.R.S.” MIXTAPE that I compiled and released [with Bentley's blessing!]??
It features several underground songs, features, freestyles, and custom blends that I mixed myself!
I put it out in August as a prelude/promotion for his official album coming in 2010… to get the internet/blogs talking about his music…

I’ve been wondering how much buzz it has gotten thus far…

I know all that it is just that some people deserve to be on the site that is all I am saying. He seems to me at least to be one of the few people in the entertainment industry who has no stylist. That is why I say that his style should be on the site.
